AT&T uses Facebook

AT&T is using social media and partnerships with entertainment companies and artists to interact with a younger audience. One of the latest partnerships was with rapper Lil' Wayne. AT&T introduced his latest single using Freedom of Choice and Mobile Music Facebook pages on January 27. By doing this AT&T's data showed that its customers downloaded his ringtones more often than any other artist in 2008.

I know I'm not exactly in my thirties or forties, but I'm still gonna say it..."back in my day," lol. Anyway, back in my day, when I was about yay high...I remember watching a little movie called Clueless, yes I know...I'm not proud of it, anyway, I remember watching that movie thinking, "man these people have cell phones in school!" I was astonished. To think of how far we've come since the time of those huge anchors with antennas is amazing. It doesn't surprise me that AT&T is attempting to target the younger audience. In fact I think it's long over due. Teenagers are some of the richest individuals today. How you ask? It's simple, when they cash a check from wherever it is they are employed, most have nothing but disposable income to burn. No rent due on the first of the month, not credit card payments, no electric bill, no water bill, NO RESPONSIBILITIES!!! No responsibilities means no sense of responsibility, therefore they are a prime target.
