We all know that every time we pin something we are not getting the copyrights from the owner of the photograph. We just look at the picture and repin.
For now, Bruce Johnson, attorney, suggests users should shield themselves by contacting copyright owners before posting images. But by doing that it would take the fun out of what Pinterest is all about, quickly looking at an image and repining the image. And who has the time to contact everyone owner of an image?
Pinterest founder, Ben Silbermann is aware of the problems. Silberman said he knows there are issues Pinterest and the fear of claims of copyright infringement, and he wants to figure out a way to make 'his little Web page' … work within the confines of the law and in a way where photographers and every user feels comfortable.

I hope he does figure out this problem because I love Pinterest and I had no idea that those were the conditions on pinning.
I'm surprised copyright owners have not sued Pinterest yet.
OH NOOOO!!! NOT PINTEREST!!!!!!
I just wonder what could actually happen... I mean I don't think many users even know HOW to use it the "wrong" way, I know I don't. I just re-pin things so that I can refer to them later or share them with my friends... But I'm sure as heck not trying to take credit for anything.
I feel that the creators of Pinterest should have thought about this more before it was created so they would not have to be dealing with this situation now.
I agree with Lindsey on the fact they should have figured this out a head of time. I really hope they do something soon though because idk what I would do without Pinterest.
