Hulu iPad App/Subscription?

Coming into only its third year of existence, Hulu finds itself one of the most popular media sites as it continues to deliver free television shows and more. However, with such tremendous success comes increased pressure from owners of the content that Hulu re-airs to generate more revenue while distributing their content. Much of the pressure is based on wishes of content suppliers to have Hulu set up a subscription service to supplement the advertising revenue. Although Hulu is against doing away with free content and becoming solely subscription based, they have spoke of possible future considerations for premium content subscriptions. Currently, Hulu is working on ideas for an Apple iPad application, which may eventually become a good test module for such a subscription based service. I hope Hulu stays free. I know that I watch shows on Hulu that otherwise are shown on abc.com. This is because Hulu loads much faster on my computer. However, if Hulu decided to charge, I would just deal with the slower abc.com.
