Because of the success of the daily deals websites, such as Groupon and Living Social, major news outlets have decided to host their own deals on their websites.
The McClatchy Company, which publishes more than 30 daily newspapers, is the latest one to join this craze. They own newspapers such as The Miami Herald and The Fort Worth Star- Telegram.
Other newspapers have already joined, including The New York Times, which announced its first deal today.
