Coke Launches Campaign to Save the Polar Bears

Coca-Cola has teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund to protect polar bears and their habitat as part of a new marketing campaign. San Francisco design firm Turner Duckworth has designed a new Coke can for the campaign that will be largely white in color and will be available nationally through the holiday season.

Coca-Cola has already launched a new website, arctichome.com, that reads: "Beginning this holiday season, the more we text, the more we can protect" and they plan to start launching new ads featuring real polar bears to appear in print, outdoors and online. This new campaign is especially appropriate since polar bears have been a staple in Coke's advertising since 1993.

I think this is a great thing for Coke to do. It gives them a great image and they are using a staple they have used for as long as I can remember-- the polar bear. I know when I see something about a polar bear the name "coca-cola" pops in my head, and I'm sure that is what it is like for a lot of people.
