Mobile phone trend continues to grow
I know mobile phones are the new "it" platform, but I didn't think about the implications until seeing this. I was actually really surprised because I thought Facebook would be the leader - not Pandora. However, it's not just about social media anymore, the mobile platform is expanding to e-commerce and searching. People really are using their phones like pocket sized mini computers.
Can you believe that eBay's mobile sales are at $4 billion? No wonder I keep seeing commercials showing women buying jeans and shoes from their phones. They are marketing this trend to the fullest because fairly soon it won't be just a trend - it will be the norm.
Amazon and Square are no slouches either with $2 Billion and $1Billion in sales, and PayPal reported $3 Billion in mobile transactions.
Just when it seems a mobile phone can do everything, they come up with something new. It makes me wonder what the next big thing is . . .
