NBA cancels first two weeks of season

The first 100 games have been cancelled for the 2011-2012 NBA season. Last season garnered more media attention then ever with the formation of the New Look Miami Heat and defending champs, L.A. Lakers on a supposed collision course in the finals. Neither of which came to fruition, however, the Dallas Mavericks won their first NBA title. This season would have raised more questions, like "how far the Heat could go this year?" or "Does LA still have a shot now the Phil Jackson no longer helms the ship?" But no. Now we don't even get to see the season start becuase of pa disputes via the players salary and team salary caps preventing every team a shot a the title. I can't decide who looks worse in this situation the players or the owners? Also did anyone think about the thousands of jobs being lost and loss of ad revenue without an NBA season?
