Whirlpool helps wash away bullying

Whirlpool has recently joined the "It Gets Better" Campaign to fight against bullying in the LGBT youth community. The company has posted YouTube videos sharing their supportive messages, joining other prestigious names such as President Obama, Anne Hathaway and the staff of Google.

Whirlpool's involvement in the global advocacy project is an extension of its values and “every home, everywhere” tagline, said Chris Lacefield, communications specialist at the company.

I think it's a great opportunity for companies to get involved in campaigns like these to help fight violence and get involved in their communities. It's flat out just the right thing to do for powerful companies such as Whirlpool since they have the means to make a difference.

My grandpa worked for Whirlpool in the engineering dept. It is a very family oriented company and it's nice that they are using their name for good.
